FAQ – Car Rental in Menorca

We answer your questions about pricing, payment methods, fuel policy, insurance, and rental conditions.

How much fuel is provided with the vehicle? Is it included in the price or paid separately?

Fuel is not included in the rental price. All our vehicles are delivered with a full tank, and the customer must return them with a full tank as well.

No fuel deposit or prepayment is required at the time of pick-up.
We simply ask that you return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel it was delivered with.

If the tank is not returned full, only the missing fuel will be charged, plus a €15 refueling fee.

If, for operational reasons, the vehicle is not delivered with a full tank, the fuel level will be noted in the rental contract and must be returned at the same level.

If I pay in cash or with a debit card, do I need to leave a deposit?

No, no deposit is required, regardless of whether you pay by debit card or in cash.

We accept both payment methods, and no additional security deposit is necessary.
You simply need to comply with the rental agreement and the applicable insurance coverage conditions.

Can I pay with someone else's credit card?

Yes, it is possible to pay with another person’s credit card, as long as they are one of the occupants of the vehicle, even if they are not the main driver, or if the rental is fully paid before the start date.

If the cardholder is not traveling in the vehicle, they must sign a written authorization in advance, accepting the charge of the rental amount to their account.
We will provide you with the authorization form for them to sign.

With full coverage, do I need to leave a deductible or deposit?

No. With full coverage, no deductible or deposit is required.

We will only request credit card details as a guarantee, but no charge or hold will be made unless damage occurs that is not covered by the insurance (as specified in the policy exceptions).

If you pay in cash or with a debit card, no deposit is required either.

What type of insurance am I getting?

What happens if I lose or damage the key?

In case of loss or damage to the key, the insurance does not cover this incident, so you will be required to pay the replacement cost.

Once there, we will provide you with a new copy of the key.

What should I do in case of a breakdown?

If you experience a breakdown during the rental period, follow these steps:

What should I do in case of an accident?

  • If you are involved in an accident, follow these steps to ensure proper handling:

    📝 Fill out the accident report
    You’ll find the form in the glove compartment of the vehicle.
    Make sure to include:

    • Our company details (already pre-filled or listed in the contract)

    • Other driver’s details (name, ID, phone number)

    • Other vehicle’s information (license plate, make, model)

    • Insurance company of the other vehicle

    • Date, time, and location of the accident

    • Sketch of the accident

    • Signature of both parties, if possible

Frequently Asked Questions about Vehicle Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Where is the vehicle delivered at Menorca airport?

The rental car is delivered at public parking lot P1, in the area designated by AENA for rent-a-car companies, located on Calle B9.

🚶‍♂️ After collecting your luggage and exiting the terminal, you’ll find the parking payment machines and an information booth about 20 meters ahead.
From there, walk a few more steps to reach the meeting point on B9.

How do I get to the vehicle pick-up and drop-off point?

🛬 Upon exiting the airport terminal, cross the pedestrian crossing right in front of you.

You will pass by the parking payment machines.
About 15 meters to your right, you’ll see the parking information booth.

Follow the marked pedestrian path and continue straight along it until you reach Calle B9.

At Calle B9, a Doral Auto team member will be waiting to hand over your car or receive it upon return.

⚠️ Don’t forget to pay the parking ticket at the machines before driving out, or you can pay by card at the exit barrier.

Can the vehicle be delivered to resorts or accommodations?

We deliver vehicles only to the locations listed in the drop-down menu of the reservation form.

If your resort or accommodation is not listed, it means we currently do not offer delivery in that area.

For greater convenience, you can choose pick-up and drop-off at the airport or at other available points.

Where is the vehicle delivered at the Port of Mahón?

After disembarking from the ferry, exit the maritime station and go to the parking area designated for passenger drop-off and pick-up.

Can I pick up the car in one location and return it to another?

✅ Yes, this is possible as long as both locations are available in the reservation form.

🔁 If the distance between the pick-up and drop-off points is greater than 15 km, a €50 return service fee will apply.
